Virtual University Information Evening

On Thursday 3rd December Bloxham School held a Virtual University Information Evening. The conference event is aimed at all Fifth Form and Lower Sixth Form students and parents/guardians are also welcome. Attendance at this event was strongly encouraged, as students will be given both the tools and advice to help them make well-informed decisions about their next steps Below are links to important videos which can be accessed by clicking the picture or the title of each session.

Session 1 - UCAS: The Journey of an Applicant

Applying to university is a big step, but it doesn’t have to feel like a daunting one. This session addresses the steps that students should follow to make sure they are choosing the right place and the right course. Lucy Nottingham talks through the UCAS application process and gives her advice about what students can do in order to make their decisions easier.

Session 2 - Unifrog: Introducing the Complete Student Destinations Platform

Unifrog brings into one place every undergraduate university course, apprenticeship, and college course in the UK, as well as other opportunities, such as CV guidance, MOOCs and every college at Oxford and Cambridge. This make it easy for students to compare and choose the best university courses, apprenticeships or further education courses.

During this session, Chris Edwards will show students (and parents/guardians) how to access the tool using a sign-up code which is unique to their tutor group. Parents will also be given their own unique code, which will allow access to the same search facilities.
