Our Year 9 students gave a show-stopping performance of Macbeth last week as part of Shakespeare Schools Festival

Mr Brassington and his Year 10 academic Drama students travelled to Headington School last Thursday to perform their abridged version of Macbeth to a hugely appreciative audience. The play, which was part of this year’s prestigious Shakespeare Schools Festival, received glowing reviews from members of the audience. The performance was a credit to all the hard work of the students and their teachers, with one parent commenting that the minimalist use of costumes and props was an “innovative” way of adding to the atmosphere.

Spectators also had the chance to enjoy performances from other local schools on the night and the whole event proved to be a hugely successful evening. A big thank you goes to all those who supported our students at such an exciting event, it was great to see each and every member of the cast more than rise to the occasion.
