Saturday 27th September saw Seymour House host their hugely successful “Animation” themed House Dance

Thanks to Sam Manning for giving us an insight into the fun and games enjoyed during the Seymour House Dance 2014:

This year’s house dance was once again the first of the year, and we really set the bar for everyone else. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed themselves at the dance, which included a fantastic DJ and well thought out set-up. This meant that the dance floor was active and lively throughout the evening. Our theme was “animation”, which was extremely popular with students across the school. It provided an assortment of fancy dress, and in particular made way for the Seymour Upper 6 pink Smurf outfits. But, it wasn’t just us ‘Smurfs who stood out, everybody made the effort for the evening. A bungee-run offered a bit of fun and games, with head-to-head competitions continuing throughout the dance. The bar was also a great success, with a relaxing area for the Sixth Form made available, along with re-runs of the Toy Story films.

All members of the house chipped in to set up a fantastic array of decorations to make the Great Hall look at its absolute best for the night. Thanks go especially to Michael for lighting, and to Robin Spencer-George for giving us a great set of music. We look forward to the next House Dance.
