Bloxham’s Young Enterprise team, Re-Hide, achieved two awards at yesterday’s North and West Oxfordshire event

Following what has already been a hugely successful year for Bloxham’s team of young entrepreneurs, Re-Hide attended the area final of the Young Enterprise competition yesterday and were delighted to be awarded a manufacturing award as well as “Company of the Year” for the North and West Oxfordshire region.’

Yesterday’s event saw Re-Hide set up their stall in its entirety; go through an interview process with three separate judges (who had previously read the team’s full company report); and then give a four-minute presentation detailing their experiences throughout the year. Thanks to yesterday’s win, Bloxham’s Re-Hide entrepreneurs will now continue to the county final as the representatives for North and West Oxfordshire, which is taking place at Oxford’s Sa’d’Business School on May 7th.

The team of eleven Lower Sixth students has achieved great successes at various trade fairs and preliminary rounds of the Young Enterprise competition since the company’s launch back in November. They have taken their bespoke, homemade and recycled products, a range of premium leather bracelets and belts, and the latest addition of branded T-shirts, to a number of local Young Enterprise trade fairs, where adjudicators have been on hand to offer advice and award prizes. Before this latest achievement, the entrepreneurs had already earned awards for the trade stand itself, the products’ design and quality and their levels of customer service.

The team’s products have received support from a number of recognisable faces of late, including Made in Chelsea star Jamie Laing, and former MP for North Oxfordshire Tony Baldry, who visited Bloxham recently to discuss the students’ project with them further.

Everyone would like to wish the whole team the best of luck in preparation for the county finals!
