This Sunday saw a large number of Old Bloxhamists turn out to support the latest OB event at the school

OBs recent and from longer ago attended a number of events as they returned to their old school.

Thank you to Mr Batten for the report below on what was a thoroughly enjoyable day for all those who attended:

About 80 Old Bloxhamists and their guests attended the 200 Club lunch in the school’s Dining Hall on Sunday. The 200 Club plays a large part in fundraising for the school and the Old Bloxhamist Society itself.

In addition to the lunch, the Old Bloxhamist Hockey XI (comprising those who left in more recent years) took to the astro to face the played the school’s current 1st XI. The OBs came away victorious with a 5-1 wom- the young Bloxham team played well against a strong Old Boys side and were unlucky to concede two late goals. With the Captain of the Old Bloxhamist XI, Craig Irvine, absent through illness, his designated successor Steve O’Connor took over a year early and did an excellent job. The game was played in front of a large number of parents and supporters, and a minute’s silence was observed before the game to commemorate Paddy Kellett (Wilson 2005-2010), in whose memory the match was played. We were particularly pleased to welcome Jacky and Will Kellett.’
