At the annual Touch FM Pride of Stratford Awards, held at Stratford’s Crowne Plaza on 3rd February, Alison Gray (RY 2001-05) accepted a ‘Special Recognition Award’

Receiving a standing ovation and being acknowledged in the same category as Nick Skelton and Gregory Doran of the RSC was an overwhelming experience for Ali and made for a great night of celebrating with friends and family. Ali is the Fundraising Manager for the South Warwickshire NHS Foundation Trust, and accepted the award on behalf of her team in relation to the £1 million fundraising appeal for the new Stratford Cancer and Eye Hospital, something that “is vital for South Warwickshire and will be of such benefit to so many people.

Ali’s mother Sally used to coach Bloxham pupils in speech and drama for their LAMDA exams, and judging by her confident speech in accepting the award, her mother’s lessons have certainly paid off!

Further information about the appeal is available here.
