The last day of school before the half term break means only one thing: the return of House Sport! For all the photos from the day, please click here.

It was wonderful to see so many pupils representing their Houses with pride in either the rugby, hockey or badminton. There were some really outstanding moments across all three sports, and many a narrow victory between some very well matched teams.

In badminton, Wilson were victorious in both the Junior and Senior boys’ A team competition, with Seymour coming in as runners up in both of these contests. On the girls’ side, Merton came out on top in both the Junior A and B competitions, with Raymond dominating for both the Senior As and Bs.

The Junior hockey again saw one House controlling the field, with Stonehill coming up trumps for both the As and Bs, pushing Wilberforce into a well-earned second place in both competitions. The Senior A team hockey ended in an incredibly tense penalty shoot out between Raymond and Stonehill. Both teams did exceptionally well, with particular kudos going to both goalies who really outdid themselves, but the winning team was eventually Raymond – congratulations girls! The Senior B contest was won by Merton, with Wilberforce this time as the runners up.

We switched to a touch rugby format this year owing to the increased safety risks associated with potential physical mismatches, but this in no way reduced the quality of rugby on display. In the Junior competition, Seymour were triumphant amongst the As while Crake took home the victory for the Bs. The Senior B competition was won by Seymour with Crake coming in second, while Egerton pipped Wilson to the post and claimed victory in the Senior As for the third year running – well done Egerton!

Congratulations to everybody who took part and who represented their Houses so fantastically.
