On Saturday, we welcomed 17 primary school students to Bloxham for a WWII history workshop.

Students enjoyed a morning of activities, including an exhibition and examination of WWII artefacts and a drills session on Main Field with visiting members of the Oxfordshire Home Guard Living History Group. The group also took part in a cooking session where they made thrifty wartime dishes including curried corned beef balls, rock buns and carrot cookies – using rationed ingredients of course!’

Thank you to the Oxfordshire Home Guard for helping to make the morning exciting, authentic and enjoyable – the students had a blast! To view photos from the morning, please click here.
