Hugh Hinde, friend of Bloxham, and great-grandson of the school’s Founder, has sadly passed away
The Old Bloxhamist Society has been saddened to hear of the death of Hugh Hinde on 1st August after a short illness.
As well as being the great grandson of the school’s Founder, Philip Reginald Egerton, Hugh (pictured on the left, above) was the father of an Old Bloxhamist (Nigel, Egerton 1982-1987), and a prominent member of the village community, having been Chairman of the Friends of St Mary’s Church and Chairman of the Royal British Legion for some years. He was also a good friend to the school and had assisted the CCF in the past. On behalf of Bloxham School, we wish to express our sincere condolences to the Hinde family. The Funeral is to take place at St Mary’s Church, Bloxham at 2.30pm on Friday 12th August.
