On Tuesday 7th March we welcomed Holocaust survivor Freddie Knoller to Bloxham to talk to 3rd and 4th Form Historians about his experiences as a European Jew in the period 1938-45.

Students started by watching an incredibly moving documentary about Freddie’s wartime experiences (produced originally for the BBC), before participating in a 30 minute question and answer session. The manner in which students dealt with such a distressing and sensitive subject was extremely impressive, and the thoughtful questions posed were testimony to the impact of Freddie’s story.
