Congratulations to Urssie L (Ex) for her success in being selected for the British Vaulting Championships in October.

Urssie competed in the English Championships this weekend at The Unicorn Trust in Stow-on-the-Wold in the build up to the British Championships in early October, and was crowned English Champion in her category with her team also beating their goals in both classes and winning the title! Urssie has competed in these Championships for the last two years and has been vaulting for the last three years, training at the Unicorn Vaulting Club based at the Unicorn Trust in’Stow-on-the-Wold.

This year, Urssie has moved up to international classes for her age group which means she is vaulting at a more technically difficult level, with a personal aim to finish in the top 10 at the English and British Championships and to compete overseas in international classes next year. She trains with her home club Unicorn and also with the English Vaulting School at Bishops Itchington, with training taking place three nights a week plus training at home and gym work daily.

Good luck to Urssie in the upcoming Championships this weekend and also in October – fantastic work!
