Bloxham’s astro pitches played host to 120 primary school children on Friday as part of an inter schools hockey festival, organised in collaboration with the North Oxfordshire School Sport Partnership and Banbury Hockey Club.
Well done to all the young hockey players who took part and showed off some impressive skills. Congratulations to’Sibford Gower’Primary School who were the overall winners of the festival. The Headmaster, Paul Sanderson, presented all participants with medals at’a prize ceremony.
Special thanks to the young sports leaders from The Warriner School and to our own students who helped to facilitate the event and made it go smoothly on the day.
Ten primary schools took part and several of those schools have already benefited from regular sports coaching as part of Bloxham School’s Outreach Programme.
