Bloxham students Jacob and Hugh recently attended an awards ceremony where they were awarded their prestigious Arkwright Scholarships
Congratulations to Bloxham students Jacob Lee and Hugh Johnston who both recently took time out from their AS studies to attend an award ceremony, where they were presented with their prestigious Arkwright Scholarships.
These highly sought-after engineering awards identify the boys amongst the country’s future leaders in engineering and technical design, having created their own hugely innovative solutions to problems they had identified. The boys worked extremely hard to come through the gruelling scholarship application process, which comprises a two-hour aptitude exam, a team exercise which saw them working alongside other students they had never met before, and an interview hosted at a top engineering university.
The renowned Arkwright Engineering Scholarship provides students with a ‘600 financial award to enhance their A Level studies, as well as a range of activities to enhance their understanding and experience of engineering. The Scholarships are well regarded by leading universities and corporations, as well as being supported by some of the top engineering employers.
