Many congratulations to our GCSE students who today celebrated excellent results, giving Bloxham some of their best ever results at GCSE level.

Ofqual has reported that this year 837 students in England were awarded a seven grade 9s and we are thrilled to report that three of those students are from Bloxham School. Nearly 30% of’ Bloxham students achieved a clean sweep of eight grades 9 to 7 (A** to A).

There were outstanding performances from Astronomy, Biology, Latin and Physics where more than 80% of students were awarded grades 9 to 7. Chemistry and English were also particularly noteworthy departments.

Headmaster, Paul Sanderson, congratulated all students: ‘We are hugely proud of the achievements of this year’s Fifth Form’ well done to you all. These are fantastic results which are just rewards for the hard work and diligence of our students and staff. While the substantive results were from grades 9 to 7, congratulations also go to the high value added scores achieved by all students, regardless of ability. Excellence in academics is just one part of a Bloxham education; this year group have achieved both in and out of the classroom and we are proud to see them developing into multi-talented, well rounded individuals.’
