An oak tree, Quercus xbimundorum ‘Crimson Spire’, has been planted to commemorate the coronation of King Charles III. This oak tree has dark green leaves which turn a vivid, fiery red in autumn.

Headmaster, Paul Sanderson, comments: “We are delighted to have chosen to plant this magnificent new Oak tree marking the coronation of His Majesty King Charles III. It signifies a lasting legacy which will be admired not only today, but by future generations of all those who come to Bloxham and enjoy the grounds.

“We are privileged to have an incredible variety of trees which are carefully looked after by School Arborist John Badger (Eg 64-69). A generous legacy donation given to the school by Arthur Disney (Cr 43-45) has enabled us to preserve and maintain the rich variety of trees, whilst planting new varieties and ensuring that they continue to thrive.”
