For the 11th year, Bloxham School Chapel Choir had the privilege of singing at The Icarus Trust Christmas Serenity Carol Concert at St John’s Church, Hyde Park Crescent in London.

Bloxham’s Choir performed alongside the resident professional choir and musicians of St John’s, with international soloists, and readings from actors Julian Wadham and Jack Ashton.

We were delighted that a number of Old Bloxhamist leavers from 2022 and 2023, were able to join us. All have moved on to the next chapter of their lives but were thrilled to take part in what was once one of the highlights of their School year. The confidence and experience of the Old Bloxhamists added to the wonderful singing of the School Choir and the two pieces they performed, Veni Veni Emmanuel (arr. Bloxham Choirmaster, James Ramm), and Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas (Martin arr. Barlow Bradford), were greatly enjoyed by the audience.

With Old Bloxhamists, parents and Bloxham staff in the audience, it was a joyous occasion and a great musical experience for our young musicians.
