Last month we were delighted to welcome close to 100 guests to the Old Bloxhamist London Meet at the Lansdowne Club in Mayfair. It was one of the most successful and busiest OB events to date and it was fantastic to see so many new faces.

Now in its sixth year, the London Meet continues to grow in popularity and provides a lovely way for alumni to get together socially, to network and to reminisce about school days.  Old photos from the archives filled the room and the School was never far from conversation.  As well as welcoming OBs from London, it was particularly special to welcome those from around the world, across Europe and even from Nairobi.

Guests included many generations of OBs ranging from those who left in the 1950s right up to 2020, as well as former and current staff, and all enjoyed drinks and delicious canapés and lively conversation. Headmaster Paul Sanderson thanked guests for attending and updated the community on the health of the School, now with over 550 students, the expansion of the third girls’ boarding house Stonehill, as well as the school’s excellent academic and sporting achievements. Then OB Society Chairman Jolyon Griffiths (Ry 74-79) spoke about the unique community of being an Old Bloxhamist and also highlighted the forthcoming Headmaster’s Dinner on Saturday 25th March where Yanto Evans is the evening’s guest speaker.

There was much merriment until late into the evening. Thank you to everyone for making it such an enjoyable and successful evening. To see photos from the evening please click here.
