Our OB and School artists had great success in the Ironstone Art Prize, a biennial competition organised by local gallery, Banbury Museum & Gallery.

Old Bloxhamists Ruby-Eloise Jones (Mn 21-23) and Harriet Ellis (Wf 18-23), as well as current student Becca J, had their paintings selected for this exhibition.

Bertie Matthews, Bloxham’s Director of Art, comments: “The quality of art and photography at Bloxham remains incredibly strong and the success of Ruby-Eloise, Harriet and Becca is pleasing confirmation of this. This has been an extremely exciting opportunity for their exceptional artworks to be shown beyond the school campus.”

Their work, exhibited alongside other prominent regional artists, was selected by a panel of independent judges including broadcaster and Art Dealer Philip Mould OBE, Paul Hobson, Director of Modern Art Oxford, and Deborah Smith, Director of the Arts Council Collection.
