Robert Adelmann, an OB who graduated from Bloxham School back in 2011 and has recently achieved a 2.1 in Aerospace Engineering from Sheffield University, has been cycling the length of Europe since July to fundraise for Help for Heroes.

Robert and his friend Andy, who began their journey back in July at the Arctic Circle in Norway and are still currently cycling the 6500km to Gibraltar, have admitted that the difficulty of the feat they are trying to achieve has exceeded even their own expectations. The boys are hoping to complete the distance, which is 1000km greater than that from London to New York, within the next few days, having already passed through some fantastic backdrops, including the Pyrenees, the Netherlands, the South of France and Spain.

Both Robert and Andy are members of the Sheffield Officer Training Corp, meaning the cause for which they are fundraising is of strong significance to them both. You can look back at the boys’ journey up until this point yourself by visiting their Facebook page, where they have been sharing photos and stories for the duration of their journey.
