On Saturday, the School hosted our annual lunch to thank Egerton Society members for their support of the School. The Egerton Society is for members of the Bloxham community who have generously pledged their support to the School in their Will.
It was lovely to be joined this year by members of the School Prefect team who were able to talk about their experience of Bloxham today and learn more about the School through the ages from members of the Society. It was clear that much enjoyment was had across the generations through the swapping of Bloxham anecdotes and reminiscences. As one member commented, the Prefects continue to exemplify all that is good about the School, embodying the spirit of service and leadership that is so integral to Bloxham.
The event also gave us the chance to honour former Egerton Society members who have sadly passed away. Their generosity and commitment to the School live on through the gifts they have left behind, and will continue to have a lasting impact on future generations of students. It was wonderful to welcome, and thank in person, family members of two OBs who we have lost in the last year.
The Headmaster addressed guests, updating them on the School and reassuring all present that Bloxham is well-placed to meet the challenges currently facing the independent sector. He extended his thanks to all those who pledge their support to the School ensuring that the School continues to thrive, providing exceptional opportunities for students today and in the years to come.
