The Curriculum in Detail

         • There is a heavy focus on numeracy, literacy and digital skills as we know these are critical
foundations for success at GCSE. Lessons are one hour long (with four lessons in mathematics
and English per week) to allow for deeper learning to be developed.

         • History, theology and geography lessons are introduced, along with French and Latin.
                                                                                                         Sample Timetable
         • Music and drama form an important part of the timetable. Students can join the Lower School choir
and a whole school contemporary choir, giving opportunities for both classical and popular tastes.
The Lower School stages an annual drama performance and each child takes LAMDA examinations.
                                                                                                           Monday Tuesday Wednesday Thursday Friday
         • To provide breadth, the Design & Technology Department introduces the students to DT, textiles
and food technology. House Roll Call House Roll Call House Roll Call House Roll Call House Roll Call

IT skills, and exploring how to build apps, is delivered to all.
                                                                                                           P2 PSHE (First) P2 PE (Second) P2 P2 PSHE (Second) P2

further develop the characters of all the students; this programme culminates in an outdoor trip in
the Summer Term of the First and Second Forms. Meanwhile, there is a “coming of age” optional Lunch Lunch Lunch Lunch Lunch
