Housemaster

Simon Thompson took over as Egerton Housemaster in September 2014. He was a Housemaster and Head of Geography at a previous school, and Assistant Housemaster in Egerton for a year.

Simon completed his degree at Southampton University, before gaining a PGCE from Cambridge University in Secondary Geography. He is a keen sports fan, particularly rugby, hockey and cricket, and plays hockey and cricket for the staff teams. Simon is married to Kim, a primary school teacher and they have two young sons.

They love spending time in Cornwall, the New Forest and Norfolk. Simon is a keen photographer and enjoys playing the guitar. He is a firm believer in taking opportunities and this is the ethos of the Egerton, with all boys giving things a go, at least once!
