Last week, Lower Sixth student Scott T. competed in the Lanzarote International Running Challenge representing the Milton Buzzard team.

As the youngest competitor, Scott has a number of achievements to be proud of, especially as these were his first ever 10k, 13k and half marathon races.

The Challenge featured four races taking place on four consecutive days over various terrains and distances. His performance steadily improved throughout the four day event: placing tenth out of ten in his age group in the 10k, eighth out of nine in the 13k Volcano run, eighth out of 11 in the Beach 5k and finished strong placing second out of seven in the half marathon.

Scott was one of only two competitors in his age group (16 in total) to complete the whole challenge of all four races! He placed as the’121st‘male finisher out of 173, with the overall result of 170th Finisher out of 292 competitors.

Our congratulations go to Scott for his running success.
