On Sunday, the Old Bloxhamist ladies hockey team made the journey to Dean Close School, Cheltenham, for a super Sunday of hockey.

The OB team consisted mainly of recent leavers, meaning the Bloxham squad was the youngest team in the tournament. This proved effective for speed, agility and stamina, and the team came together well to form a strong unit from the start.

The team secured a 3-0 win against Dean Close but unfortunately, some questionable umpire decisions meant the team lost out to wins across the board, with 1-1 draws against Malborough College, Canford and King Henry VIII and a 2-1 loss against Sedbergh.

The ladies played excellently as a team, and a fun day of hockey was enjoyed by everyone. Thank you to all those who came to support. Photos from the day can be found here.

The next OB ladies hockey fixture will take place on Sunday 19th November when they take on the 1st XI team in the annual All Saints Tide fixture. For more information, please email [email protected]
