Equestrian Success for Bloxham Students; 2018 British Champion & Horse of the Year Finalist

We have enjoyed a brilliant start to the year with continued equestrian success.

Congratulations to Urssie L who recently won at the British Vaulting Championships, becoming the 2018 British Champion in the Child One Star category - the level in which she is competing on international and national levels. Urssie also finished third place in the Child rankings overall for Great Britain 2018, vaulting at any level in the UK (nationally and internationally).

We also congratulate Chymme R and her pony Bronheulog Harvey (Harvs for short!) in their success at the recent Horse of the Year Show (HOYS) at the NEC in Birmingham, in which they qualified for at The British Show Jumping Championships at Stoneleigh earlier in the year. They did fantastically well in the first round, jumping one of only three clear rounds to end up second place in the 133cm Working Hunter Pony of the Year category. The duo were then put to the test, showing off their obedience on the flat without jumping with Harvs being assessed. The first two in each section went forward to the Championship in the International Arena and having placed second, Chymme enjoyed this wonderful lifetime experience. The marks were out of 100 and Chymme and Harvs scored a very respectable 92 points! The winner of their class scored only two extra points, finishing on 94 and crowned champion.

A fantastic achievement for both Urssie and Chymme - well done girls!
