Equestrian Victories at Princethorpe

Our Eventing team had a brilliant weekend on 25-26 May at Princethorpe School for an event organised by Stoneleigh Riding Club, with victories for both Bloxham teams.

The event is run over two days on the beautiful Princethorpe estate in Rugby. Dressage and show jumping took place on Saturday and Sunday saw four phases; roads and racks, steeplechase, more roads and tracks and finally a cross country course.

The 80cm Bloxham team was made up of three pupils, Angelina S., Izzy B. and Charlotte F.-S., and guest rider Mia T. from Kingsley School. Izzy and Angelina both jumped lovely double clears to both finish second in their sections and Charlotte jumped a lovely clear round on Sunday. The team lay fourth overnight coming into the cross country on Sunday and managed to move themselves up into the lead. Well done Charlotte, Angelina and Izzie!

The 100cm team consisted of pupils Tom B. and Grace H., plus guest riders Henry B. and Jess H. Henry, Grace and Jess all jumped lovely double clears to finish 1st, 2nd and 10th respectively, Henry and Grace finishing on their dressage scores. After a challenging cross country run, the 100cm team kept their lead established in dressage and show jumping and secured first place.

Well done to all pupils and guest riders involved.
