Bloxham School Shooting Team Crowned Oxford Champions!

On Wednesday 9th March, Bloxham School's Clay Pigeon Shooting team were victorious in the Oxford Schools Challenge.

In what was an incredibly tight competition, Bloxham's team, comprising Nick, Alex, Ed, Paddy and Jonty, beat runners up the Royal Agricultural University by just one clay, finishing with a final score of 210 out of 250. Along with the trophy, the team were also awarded a Browning Gun, 1250 cartridges and each received shooting accessories.

Roland Swift was top scorer for the Bloxham B team, scoring 43 out of 50. All those shooting scored over 50%, which was a good achievement in the conditions on the day, especially as some had never competed before.

Congratulations to everyone who represented Bloxham School at this event on their sterling performances!

On Saturday 12th March, the Bloxham team competed at the Warwick Challenge, with the As finishing as runners up, one clay behind Warwick School on their home ground. In addition, Bloxham's Nick and Rebecca came away with well-earned second places in the individual High Gun Competition.
