Last week the Fourth Form students received etiquette training in preparation for their Formal Dinner on Friday night.

The training covered skills such as the art of conversation, verbal and non-verbal communication, dressing appropriately for various occasions, and dining manners. With a dress code of ‘suits’ all students dressed to impress, attending in very smartly and appropriately attire.

They were seated in house groups at smaller tables of two or three, with some games throughout the evening. They looked after one another and were extremely good company for our guest staff, all of whom commented on their enjoyment of the evening. There were heartfelt thanks to the catering staff for a superb dinner.

Mr Moir said, “It was a particular joy to be able to host such an event in these times and the students rose to the occasion with great enthusiasm and delightful manners.”
