Old Bloxhamists met for a fantastic reunion evening at the Royal Thames Yacht Club in London
On Wednesday evening, more than 70 Old Bloxhamists came together for the annual London Meet. The evening coincided with the very day that Philip Reginald Egerton opened Bloxham School in 1860.
Every year this reunion is held at a different club in London and this year OBs, current and former members of staff and friends had the chance to catch up at the Royal Thames Yacht Club in Knightsbridge. Established in 1775, the Royal Thames is the oldest continuously operating yacht club in world, and with Old Bloxhamists spanning seven decades, the Mountbatten Suite at the prestigious club was filled with laughter, reminiscing and the rekindling of old friendships.
Headmaster Paul Sanderson welcomed all our guests to the London Meet, expressing how truly fantastic it was to see OBs from so many different generations coming together for the evening and thanked Robert Galletly (Eg 58-62) for hosting the group at his London club. Paul also spoke about the varied programme of OB events coming up in the next few months, starting with the sports fixtures and 200 Club lunch on OB Day, the Business & Enterprise Careers Networking event at the IoD and The Headmaster’s Dinner.
The London Meet has been made such a success by the Old Bloxhamists who come along on the evening and again this year, it was terrific to see many familiar and new faces.
