Fantastic Work Created At Landscape Painting Workshop with Kieran Stiles

Kieran Stiles Art Workshop Landscape Painting at Bloxham SchoolOn Thursday 23rd February 2017, Bloxham's art scholars and award holders from the First Form right up to the Upper Sixth Form, enjoyed an experimental oil painting workshop with landscape artist Kieran Stiles.

Kieran is an established landscape artist, and art tutor, teaching in London, France and Oxford. His work is inspired by his love of nature and the outdoors and he brought a selection of his own landscape photography for the students to work from. Students experimented with layers of oil paint, learning a variety of techniques such as using their fingers to create dramatic skies, then etching back into layers of oil paint with stipple brushes, palette knives and sponges to create a range of textures and marks.
