Back in November, Third Form students enjoyed a trip to the Skills Show at the Birmingham NEC where they tried their hand at a range of career-orientated activities

On 14th November, Bloxham Third Formers had a brilliant day out at the Skills Show, the nation’s largest skills and careers event held at the Birmingham NEC, which provided them with inspiration and advice about future careers. The show featured a wide range of hands-on experiences and skills competitions, which had all been designed to give students a real insight and hands-on experience of what potential future careers could offer. The students got to test their skills on a wide range of memorable, bite-sized experiences, which included the likes of nursing, bricklaying, web design, civil engineering, crime scene investigations and BBC news reporting. This visit was an extremely interesting event for our students, giving each of them a clearer understanding of real-life jobs through the eyes of real people who work in those jobs.
