Last Friday the Sustainability at Bloxham group were extremely fortunate to welcome Dr Laurence Wainwright from Oxford University’s Smith School of Enterprise and the Environment.

Dr Wainwright delivered a fascinating lecture on the current sustainability issues that nation-states, governments, businesses, as well as schools such as Bloxham are grappling with. Amongst other things discussed were the merits of ‘Veganuary’ vs ‘Reganuary’, how to avoid tokenistic campaigns, and how embedding intentional policies across and throughout an organisation can deliver significant cultural shifts.

Dr Wainwright was able to offer some excellent advice on the proposals and the strategic plan that SAB has been working on for Bloxham School. They are very grateful for his support and encouragement as they seek to convey the urgent need to adopt a coherent sustainability policy across our community.
