The award winning Jazz pianist and composer Charlie Bates will be visiting Bloxham School on Friday 11th February, running a series of workshops for all of our Wind & Brass players during the day and performing in a concert in the evening.
This is a terrific opportunity for Bloxham students to work with professional musicians; it will also help build confidence, develop the skills of improvisation and galvanise our pupils around a positive musical experience.
In the evening, a taste of Ronnie Scott’s comes to school in Bloxham’s Jazz Night, when you will be able to hear Charlie’s Band perform alongside our very own Jazz Band in a great evening of quality music. Parents, pupils and staff are all invited to attend.
The £19.50 Parent ticket price will include a meal and a genuine jazz night experience at Bloxham! A pay bar will be available throughout the evening.
