A Shining Light to Cheer!
We are pleased to announce that stocks of the beer brewed by the famous Hook Norton Brewery to commemorate our 150th Anniversary are now available!
The Managing Director of the Hook Norton Brewery,Old Bloxhamist James Clarke, has produced this special pale ale with a full taste with fresh fruit flavours and a refreshing aftertaste. It can be enjoyed on its own or with meals and its full flavour will stand up against even the spiciest of foods.

The beer, 'A Shining Light', is available in 500 ml bottles only and carries a label picturing the School from the Headmaster's lawn and the School crest. The label too has a Bloxham link as it was designed by OB Jonathan Sivyer.
Bloxham's Director of Marketing Nick Irvine came up with the idea of a celebratory beer and the concept was readily adopted by the Hook Norton Brewery.
" We share a number of core values with our friends at Hook Norton. We both have longevity as our strength, offer quality and enjoy strong local support. We hope that Bloxhamists will enjoy raising a glass to their school and know that they are sharing a tradition enjoyed responsibly throughout the 150 year history of Bloxham School."
The beer is likely to be served at a number of the celebrations planned to mark the sesquicentenary and is also available for purchase from the Hook Norton Brewery shop, or on-line at www.hooky.co.uk.
It is expected to be rolled out at a number of Hook Norton hostelries including The Bell at Adderbury and Bloxham's Elephant and Castle.
We will soon be able to bring you details of another sesquicentenary celebratory drink when we launch the Vintage and non- Vintage Champagne's behind a School label. There is really no excuse for Old Bloxhamists not celebrating in style throughout 2010!
