After the short ceremony and unveiling of the dedication plaque, there was a chance to view the facility and to see and hear some of Bloxham's young musicians . The ceremony itself featured an item by our Brass Ensemble which had been written especially for the occasion by Stephen Bell, Head of Brass at Bloxham and performed by members of the School's brass group.
This was followed by a Q and A session given by Aled in which he spoke of his love of music and his career to date which has seen him achieve professional status as a singer at the age of 12 which has lead to a number of roles in the West End and of course as a presenter on BBC radio and television.

It was a quite magical and captivating morning and Aled warmed a large audience on a cold morning with his boundless charm, humour and passion for his subject.
Describing the School's new music facilities he ventured:
"If I had had these facilities when I was at school I would have been the happiest boy in the World!" He also was lavish in his praise for young Emma Glanvill who sang a solo of the 'Billy Elliott' hit song "Electricity."
