The Wine Society
The Wine Society involves a dozen Upper Sixth formers in learning about wine through a programme of tastings and presentations. This year’s programme includes an introduction to wine tasting, a five course Italian dinner, tutored tastings on Spain, South Africa, the Loire and the Languedoc, a blind tasting and a presentation by each of the Society’s members on a wine of their own choice. The traditional end to the year’s activities takes place in the idyllic surroundings of the garden of Park Close, with a tasting of vintage champagnes.
