Bloxham School Eventer Challenge Series 2017-18
Bloxham School is delighted to announce the dates for this year’s Bloxham School Eventer Challenge, hosted at Washbrook Farm, a premier eventing centre and home to the prestigious Aston-le-Walls equestrian facility.
After the success of last year’s event, Bloxham School is looking forward to running its Eventer Challenge series again this year, with the first round taking place on Sunday 22nd October. This competition is open to all school-age riders and entrants can either compete individually or as part of a school team.
The classes will include various difficulty levels to suit a range of ages and abilities. The event will run from October 2017, right the way through until February next year, with the invitation-only grand final taking place on Sunday 25th February 2018. This school-age only event will be held on the following dates:
- Sunday 22nd October 2017
- Sunday 19th November 2017
- Sunday 10th December 2017
- Sunday 14th January 2018
- Sunday 4th February 2018
- Sunday 25th February 2018
This Eventer Challenge series presents young riders with a wonderful opportunity to compete at Washbrook Farm’s fantastic facility throughout the winter months. Riders complete a showjumping course and then immediately go on to do the cross country phase, all on the all-weather surface. Classes range from 65cm to 110cm and all classes will include the water jump.
Riders will accumulate points across the series and may enter as many classes as they wish. Ten points are awarded to the 1st placed competitor, down to one point for 10th. One point is awarded to all clear rounds.
Competitors who are placed 1st, 2nd and 3rd in each class on each day of the competition will be invited to compete at the grand final event taking place on Sunday 25th February 2018. Also, those riders who have accumulated enough points over the series are invited to the final too.
