Students Enjoy Day of Activities at Bloxham Mission Day
Last month, Bloxham School held its annual Mission Day and welcomed Revd John Miller from Lymington Rushmore Holidays and a team of young Christians for a day of fun activities.
Lymington Rushmore supports Bloxham with a weekly Bible study session for students, including members of the Lower School 'Fish Skool' group. The team ran a lesson for each of the First and Second Form in the morning with interactive discussions on the theme of 'satisfaction', in which students were encouraged to think about what makes them happy and whether that happiness lasts. A session for the Fourth Form was led by Old Bloxhamist Harry Moir and consisted of a sports quiz provdided by Christians in Sport. During the afternoon the Third Form took part in a series of eight challenges run by Lymington Rushmore which gave an insight into what the corporation offers students during their summer holiday schemes.
The Mission Day was a wonderful opportunity for Bloxham students to engage with young Christians and to discuss topics and questions in an open and honest environment. We are extremely grateful for the ongoing support of Lymington Rushmore and for the three pastoral assistants from Kingham Hill School who helped on the Mission Day.
