Lower school

Middle school

Sixth form

The Lower School is housed in a modern and imaginatively designed teaching and recreational space. The skilful reworking of the former 'White Lion' pub, is now used for more edifying pursuits by our youngest Bloxhamists! Pupils may be either day or weekly boarders and attend school Monday - Friday. Admission is via the school's own entrance examination. Outstanding performances in this can result in scholarships being awarded.

Pupils join the Middle School at 13 years of age either from the Lower School or via scholarship, Common Entrance or Bloxham’s own examination. Early specialisation is avoided in the first year. In subsequent years the core subjects are studied together with three subjects selected from a wide range of options.

Most Bloxhamists stay on for A and AS Levels. Others join at this stage to create a Sixth Form of 150 students. A wide range of subject choices is offered together with a lively social and personal development programme. There is no school uniform in the 6th form but a dress code operates. Entry is achieved by interview and a satisfactory performance at GCSE level. In the case of overseas students, tests may be taken in their own country. Academic and other scholarships are available.
