It was a spectacular week-end for motor sport - and as it turned out for Bloxham.
Not only did Jenson Button win the F1 World Championship, but OB Will Bratt won the F3000 Championship at Monza, the prize for which is a drive in the GP2 Asia Championship. This means that he will be off next week to Abu Dhabi where he will driving in the support race for the final round of the Formula 1 World Championship, the ideal shop window to be seen by Formula One teams (Rosberg, Glock, Kovalainen and Lewis Hamilton all raced in GP2 in the last five seasons). He is now racing at the level just below Formula One.
Will completed his History degree at Oxford University (Lincoln College) in the Summer.
I have been talking to Will about coming to school to talk to the Scholars/Sixth Form, but his schedule has just got a lot more crowded!
