Ready! Steady! Cook

3rd Form pupil Martyn Collins is proving to be Bloxham's answer to Jamie Oliver. His passion for cooking has lead him into the Banbury Rotarian's Young Chef of the Year competition where he performed extremely well as one of the youngest competitors.

For that competition Martyn had to plan, prepare, cook and serve a full three course meal under the pressures of time and an eagle eyed judging panel! The experience will have done him a power of good and the judges were extremely complimentary about his meal.

Now that fame has spread to the school and he has recently put on a demonstartion to his old house up at Park Close for the Junior boarders and will be shortly be in front of an audience again when he demonstrates to the Wilson House 3rd form!

Martyn's 'signature' dish is lemon chicken with stir fried vegetables. This is an extremely tasty dish which has a lovely zesty tang to it. As you can see from the photographs, it went down very well indeed at Park Close!
