The Aims of Egerton House
The Aims of Egerton House

∑ To provide a warm and friendly environment where the pupils feel secure and happy.

∑ To provide an environment that enables and encourages the pupils to develop their talents to the full – both academic and non-academic.

∑ To encourage pupils to have respect for each other, for each other’s property, and for the community in which they live – House, School and beyond.

∑ To offer advice and support throughout each pupil’s time in the House through the tutorial system and by encouraging good communication between adults, senior and junior boys.

∑ To develop and operate a system of rules and regulations so that pupils are aware of their responsibilities both to themselves and to others within the House and the wider community.

∑ To encourage links between the parents and the House staff, particularly on matters concerning the pupil’s progress and welfare.

∑ To develop smart, confident, caring and sociable young men who will feel at ease in all manner of company.

∑ To help every member of the House feel special. To encourage an appreciation of the diversity which exists in the House and to foster the belief that every member of the House has a variety of talents to offer which makes each individual unique.
