Egerton House

Egerton House is named after the School's founder, Rev. Philip Reginald Egerton. It is a boys house which stands in a corner of the main campus close to the science buildings. Robin Thompson is the Housemaster and teaches Business Studies. Richard Longman, Director of Music, is the resident Assistant Housemaster.
Egerton is situated on the edge of the School campus, part of it overlooking Rosebank. The House is entered by a large conservatory where the boys can sit during break and social times. There are about 60 boys in the house, split between five year-groups. The boys use a dayroom in their first year and boarders use a dormitory. Then, in the fourth form, they share a double or treble room, as well as using a day room for prep and free time. Fifth formers may be lucky enough to have their own space, though a double study is more likely whilst sixth formers do have private quarters. The Housemaster’s house is attached to the conservatory and Mr. Longman, the Assistant Housemaster, has his accommodation on the ground and first floors at the eastern end of the House.

House Concert 2009
The weather was once again fine for a lovely afternoon in the garden. There were excellent performance from lots of boys, in particular from Adam McCartan who was awarded a House Merit tie for his contribution.
Saturday evening saw the now traditional warmup BBQ, with the added bonus of various musical additions - a fantastic weekend.
Next year - bring on EgeStock!

Upper 6th Supper
The tutors prepared a lovely meal for the outgoing Egerton Upper 6th Form to end their final day prior to study leave - they will, of course, continue to be around Egerton and the School as they prepare for and sit their exams.
Particular thanks go to Mr. Hatton who cooked a quite superb main course and fed all 19 of us - quite a feat!
