An Introduction to Crake House

Crake House is named after the Rev. Crake who was one of the first teachers in the School back in the 1860's and the first Chaplain. He was a larger than life character and his house carries on those traditions!
Crake is situated in the oldest part of the School and is home to 60 boys aged between 13 and 18.
David Best is the Crake Housemaster and Michael Noone the resident assistant. David is a member of the Mathematics department and Michael is Head of Biology. David is a keen and active sportsman. Michael is the keeper of a most weird and wonderful menagerie of snakes and insects - a sort of Bloxham Hagrid!

It hardly seems possible that the boys have been back at school for twelve days, though it seems somewhat longer, and everyone has quickly settled into the routine of work, sport, music, activities and Crake life.
